Our Story
Hi, I’m Iqra – the maker behind this little business.
I’m a wife, a mama to three beautiful little ones, and the pair of hands behind every design you see here. Most of my creations come to life during nap times, after bedtime, or in those quiet moments when the house finally settles.
What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger. I wanted to build a business that allowed me to stay present for my children while creating meaningful, personalised pieces that become part of other families’ stories too.
Every item is designed, laser cut, engraved and carefully finished by me from my home workshop in Manchester. Whether it’s a keepsake to celebrate a new arrival, a thoughtful gift, or something special for your home, I believe the little details are what make it truly unforgettable.

What We Make
Our studio specialises in laser-cut acrylic, solid wood, and engraved metal products — from Islamic calligraphy gifts and Arabic name signs to wedding welcome boards, nursery name plaques, and bespoke business signage. If it can be cut, engraved, or shaped to tell your story, we make it.
Every product in our range can be personalised — choose your material, size, and personalisation text, or upload your own artwork. Nothing leaves our studio as off-the-shelf.
Our Commitment to Quality
We use only premium materials sourced from trusted UK suppliers — cast acrylic that catches the light beautifully, FSC-certified birch and walnut, and precision-finished metals. Every cut is checked by hand before dispatch.
We take pride in the details: clean edges, crisp engraving, and packaging that means your gift arrives exactly as it left our studio.

Unlike mass-produced gifts, every Cutting Etch Designs product is made fresh once you place your order. There is no warehouse of pre-made stock — your piece is cut and engraved specifically for you, with the exact personalisation details you provide.
This means a short production lead time (shown on each product page), but it also means your gift is genuinely one of a kind.
